Yun Chen, PhD

Yun Chen received his bachelor degree in 2001 and Ph.D. degree in 2006 in Central South University in China, both in mineral processing. He has more than 10 years’ experience of mineral processing in comminution, flotation, flocculation, gravity separation and magnetic separation as well as extractive metallurgy. He had nearly two years’ work experience in the mining company (BHP Billiton) as a technology engineer, one year research experience in South Africa (University of the Witwatersrand), three years research experience in UK (The University of Nottingham) and two years working experience as project manager in COREM (Quebec, Canada). His research areas include the mineral processing of sulphide ore, oxide ore, precious metal ore, rare metal ore and industrial minerals etc, as well as conventional extractive metallurgy.
