Mr. Bouajila is a senior engineer with more than 30 years of extensive and cross-disciplinary background and experience (realisation, coordination and management) in mineral processing R & D, process development, technical services, testing and engineering. Focusing on technology transfer of innovative solutions to operating plants, he worked closely with industrial plants.
His expertise covers grinding, flotation, physical separation and extractive metallurgy as applied for base and precious metals, iron ores and industrial minerals. His skills also include team management and coaching, operational and strategic planning, corporative vision and strong understanding of mineral industry needs and processing problem solving. Being involved in many mining projects at different study levels, Mr. Bouajila is capable of phase management, critical and due diligent review and de-risking efforts, signing-off as QP for many projects.
Mr. Bouajila is holder of phosphate flotation patent and author/co-author of more than 25 scientific papers in metallurgy and ore processing. Mr. Bouajila is member of Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and holder of a certificate in project management from Université de Québec a Trois Rivières. Mr. Bouajila is also acting as a board member and Vice President R&D and Technology transfer for Central America Nickel since May 2019.
Dr. Hasib Ur Rahman holds M.Phil. Inorganic / Analytical Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad and M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry from University of Agriculture Faisalabad as well as a Doctorate (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from Laval University.
Dr. Hasib Ur Rahman is a research scientist with more than 15 years of extensive research experience in multi-disciplinary fields including analytical chemistry; mineral assaying procedure and technologies; hydrometallurgy; corrosion electrochemistry; materials synthesis, characterization and applications; and catalysis. He worked on projects involving electrochemical corrosion studies, carbon dioxide capture, mesoporous materials synthesis, and heterogeneous catalysis. He is holder of two patents and author of eleven scientific papers published in prestigious journals.
Dr. Hasib Ur Rahman is skilled in project and analytical laboratory management, well-trained in figuring out a technical problem, finding a pertinent solution, and capable of working synergistically towards client’s shared goals. He masters all the steps of Precious, base and rare metals solution preparation and element assaying by AAS and ICP OES. He is currently leading the IGS’s analytical lab as chief of services.
Mr. Belarbi is a Senior Mineral Processing Specialist combining over thirty years of experience including 27 years as a research engineer within the mineral processing laboratory at the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM Morocco); Two years as a project manager and extractive metallurgy researcher at Consortium de recherches minerales (COREM Quebec) and about two years as a mineral processing specialist at the engineering consulting company Genivar-WSP Inc. (Montreal). His skills cover process and flowsheet development, Lab testing and management, equipment sizing, and OPEX – CAPEX calculation for mineral processing parts within various phases of development projects.
Sofyen Bouajila detained a diploma in Accounting, Marketing and Business Administration from College Bart, Quebec (2012). He was acting as sales advisor for Vergin Mobile (2008-2012) were he was awarded as the second best sellers in Canada in his category. He also acted as as financial advisor, detaining an AMF certificate, with Industrielle Alliance since (2012-2016). He is presently acting as founder and president of VytaliCards, an advertising and marketing company.
Mme Babi is a holder of Master in organisation management from UQAT and a master’s in biology from Faculté de sciences et techniques de Marrakech. She is also in the final process of obtaining her PhD in Environmental Science from UQAT. Mme Babi oversees HSE and Quality at IGS. She is also involved in environmental assessment and mitigation of hydrometallurgical processes.
Mme Babi has accumulated experiences, being involved in the set up of the sustainable development programm at Monarques Gold Corporation, research assistant at UQUAT and project leader at Ecology and Environmental Laboratory Faculté des sciences Semlalia de Marrakech, Maroc.
Mehran Abbaszadeh Amirdehi has a PhD’s degree in chemistry from Laval University. In 2020, he joined IGS group as an R&D specialist in hydro
Dr.l Koppalkar holds a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from McGill University and is a certified six sigma green belt holder and has over 25 years of combined experience in plant operation, consulting engineering, and research & development; fifteen years of base metal sulfide flotation plant operations management, seven years of engineering/consulting and five years of mineral processing research and development. Specialised in gold gravity concentration/GRG-testing, pilot plant operation, gold gravity circuits auditing for optimization, Sunil has progressive operations experience in crushing, grinding, classification, gravity concentration, flotation and dewatering operations. Working in consulting firms he has completed successfully studies such as preliminary economic assessment, pre-feasibility, feasibility and detailed engineering projects on gold, copper, lead, zinc, iron ore, manganese, graphite and lithium minerals for domestic and international projects. His expertise includes designing flowsheets for optimal performance, Capex and Opex estimation, mineral processing plant equipment sizing and selection, metallurgical testwork design, coordination and supervision, request for quotes and bid preparation and analysis, liaison with equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
Ali Khazraei holds PhD in Environmental Engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada), Master and Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, both from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran). Ali has extensive research and engineering experience in the field of process engineering with an in depth understanding of heat and mass transfer in built environment, HVAC, bioremediation, water-wastewater treatment and air quality control. His specialty includes measurement and analysis of organic compounds, design of air purification systems, development and application of air cleaning models, porous-material optimization, and water-air-soil quality assessments. He is also Leed AP BD+C Certified competent in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design of green buildings.
Mr. Huang is a Senior Process Developing Scientist cumulating more than 40 years of experience in mineral processing. He had worked in three top research institutes of mineral processing in China for more than 20 years. He was associated researcher with Jim Finch group at McGill University for many years after he completed his Ph.D. studies; afterwards, he had worked at COREM as a senior researcher for more than 9 years.
