Ali Khazraei holds PhD in Environmental Engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada), Master and Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, both from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran). Ali has extensive research and engineering experience in the field of process engineering with an in depth understanding of heat and mass transfer in built environment, HVAC, bioremediation, water-wastewater treatment and air quality control. His specialty includes measurement and analysis of organic compounds, design of air purification systems, development and application of air cleaning models, porous-material optimization, and water-air-soil quality assessments. He is also Leed AP BD+C Certified competent in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design of green buildings.
Zahra Sarshar is an innovative research engineer with strong background and expertise in
heterogeneous catalysis, reaction engineering and nanomaterial science. She has been involved
in various scientific and industrial projects with environmental, energy and chemical engineering
subjects. She obtained her PhD and MS.c. in chemical engineering at Université Laval and her
bachelor at Tehran University. She has more than 8 years of R&D experimental experience in
chemical engineering and material science with significant experiences in nanomaterial
fabrication and characterization as well as start-up, commissioning and working with fluidized
bed and fixed bed reactors both lab and bench scale and design and installation of various
chemical processes. She is a recipient of numerous scholarships such as Vanier NSERC graduate
scholarship and professional technical and scientific article writer with papers published in
reputable peer-reviewed journals in chemical engineering, catalyst, materials fields. She was also
involved in various pulp and paper, biomass and biorefinery processes particularly gasification
and pyrolysis in terms of process development during her postdoctoral research at École
Polytechnique de Montréal.
Zohreh Arian has professional experience in Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Assessment, Site Remediation, Environmental Laboratory, Environmental Regulation, GHS, WHMIS 2015, and EHS. Miss Arian has also worked with numerous environmental software including GoldSET, GPS-X and Model Maker.
Apart from her practical experience, Miss Arian has published several articles on some of the field’s respected journals, including “Membrane submerged Electro-Biorecator for water recovery” published in Polish Academy of Sciences and “Sustainable water management within mining area in Arctic region” published in Arctic Technology Center Journal.
Zohreh holds a Master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, and another Master’s degrees in Water and Wastewater Engineering form University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. Her Master’s thesis in Concordia University was titled “New configuration of Submerged Membrane Electro-Biorecator (SMEBR) for nutrient removal in water recovery”, and her other Master’s thesis in University of Surrey was on “The role of GAC and biofiltration process in water treatment”
Mahesh Edake, holds a PhD in chemistry from …. . He accumulated 4 years of diverse experience in academics and industrial process and scale-up chemistry at Merck Pharma, Colgate-Palmolive, and Arkema Chemicals (at Polytechnique Montreal, Canada). Major research includes Heterogeneous Catalysis, and Chemical Reaction Engineering. Mahesh has an impressive track record of delivering expertise in reactor design, manufacturing, and operation of multiphase reactors – fluidized bed, fixed bed, and autoclaves, catalytic routes to target molecules, and subsequent scale up, boenergy, biomass and bio-oil conversion to value added products and energy resources. He also demonstrated track record of using knowledge, creativity and strong critical thinking skills to solve complex catalytic chemistry challenges (08 patents, 6 articles). He was classified as 1st chemist to develop 3 new polymorphic forms of anticancer drugs.
Dominique Diouf holds a DEA in sociology and a DEA in Business studies, a master degree in HR and a PhD in business administration from Laval University. Dominique was team leader at (HBDO,2013) where he was actively involved in building, in a comparative international approach, the Integrated Risk Management Framework for the Mining Sector focuses on the relation between operational risk management (mining, prospectors, entrepreneurs, intermediaries, brokers, informal actors) and external impacts (environment, public health, economics, …) of the trade-offs made by internal stakeholders. Countries covered: Canada, Peru, Mauritania, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Algeria, South Africa, Senegal and Guinea.
Tarek Rouissi is a PhD in environmental sciences form university of INRS, he has also a Master in polymers and composites, and an engineering diploma in food industries. He possesses a solid experience in development of innovative solutions for environmental problems and has been working on several projects related to waste valorisation, agriculture biotechnology, green chemistry, removal of emerging contaminants, soil bioremediation. His R&D activities comprised also development of bioinoculants and biopesticides formulations.
Rihab Lakhal is a R&D scientist with a PhD in chemical and process engineering and a Master in process engineering both from National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France. She is also graduated from National Engineering School of Gabes, Tunisia as a chemical and process engineer. Her fields of competence include process simulation and optimization, reactor design and scale up, powder technology, physicochemical characterizations of solids, drying, fluidization and reaction kinetics.
Samira Lotfi detained a PhD chemical engineering from Ecole polytechnique de Montréal. She is an experienced R&D Scientist with basic, applied and experimental knowledge on chemical process design, kinetic modeling and operating the reactor, developing and optimizing the reactions and simulating the processes. She also has a deep experience on synthesis, test, development and detailed characterization of catalysts for high performance in different reactions. She has managed and collaborated on several projects on conversion of biomass into energy and chemicals and the production of syngas.
Yun Chen received his bachelor degree in 2001 and Ph.D. degree in 2006 in Central South University in China, both in mineral processing. He has more than 10 years’ experience of mineral processing in comminution, flotation, flocculation, gravity separation and magnetic separation as well as extractive metallurgy. He had nearly two years’ work experience in the mining company (BHP Billiton) as a technology engineer, one year research experience in South Africa (University of the Witwatersrand), three years research experience in UK (The University of Nottingham) and two years working experience as project manager in COREM (Quebec, Canada). His research areas include the mineral processing of sulphide ore, oxide ore, precious metal ore, rare metal ore and industrial minerals etc, as well as conventional extractive metallurgy.
Seyed Hamid Hosseini, Jr. Eng, PhD., with more than 17 years’ experience in Mining and Mineral Industry, has proven leadership and management competencies in engineering projects to meet the needs of industrial sections and the expectations of clients, stakeholders and partners. He is experienced project manager with analytical skills and a high degree of versatility to work in several engineering fields of mining, mineral processing and chemical engineering. He is experienced mineral processor with lab and pilot plant skills in different mineral processing circuits for different minerals for improving the performance and metallurgical accounting in many beneficiation plants. He has excellent oral and written communication skills for writing the final report and technical presentations for different clients in Research & Development.
Mr. Belarbi is a Senior Mineral Processing Specialist combining over thirty years of experience including 27 years as a research engineer within the mineral processing laboratory at the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM Morocco); Two years as a project manager and extractive metallurgy researcher at Consortium de recherches minerales (COREM Quebec) and about two years as a mineral processing specialist at the engineering consulting company Genivar-WSP Inc. (Montreal). His skills cover process and flowsheet development, Lab testing and management, equipment sizing, and OPEX – CAPEX calculation for mineral processing parts within various phases of development projects.
Mr Hammadi is a scientist holder of a PhD and in process Engineering and Environment – Modeling and Simulation. National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INPT), France, a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS/DEA) fromNational Institute of Applied Science, Toulouse (INSA), France, a bachelorBSc, Chemical Engineering from Institute of Industrial Chemistry, University of Constantine, Algeria.and a Master, Process Engineering – Computer Aided Design – Institute of Industrial Chemistry, University of Constantine. He is bringing with him over 15 years of diversified experiences on software design and improvement in minerals and process engineering, Model analysis and validation via experimental design and statistical analysis. Applied R&D at academic and industrial level for large as well as small companies, projects and budgets. He worked at Metso Minerals (USA) for 2 Years a soft solutions developer ), COREM (Québec)for 3 years as a mineral processing tooling researcher, at Spécialités Hipertech (Québec) for over 6 years as Chemical engineer, R&D Manage, At French Institute of Petroleum (IFP): Chemical Engineering Division for 2 years as Postdoctoral Researcher and at National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France : Chemical Engineering School, Process System Engineering Department (PSE) for one year as Postdoctoral Researcher.
Fariba Safizadeh is an experienced scientist with a PhD in Materials and Metallurgical engineering from Laval University and a Master in Energy and Materials Science from INRS. Fariba was graduated as a chemist with a Bachelor of applied Chemistry from K.N. Toosi University of technology, Tehran, Iran. With over 10 years of R&D experience in several projects financed by industrial corporations such as Hydro-Québec, Barrick Gold, Zinc refinery of Valleyfield and AREVA, Fariba has been involved in many subjects, at renowned universities and research centers such as INRS (Varennes, Qc., Canada), Institut de Chimie des Milieux et Matériaux de Poitiers (Université de Poitiers, France), extractive metallurgy and corrosion laboratory (Laval university, Canada), and the Consortium de Recherches Minérales-COREM (Québec, Canada).
Mr. Huang is a Senior Process Developing Scientist cumulating more than 40 years of experience in mineral processing. He had worked in three top research institutes of mineral processing in China for more than 20 years. He was associated researcher with Jim Finch group at McGill University for many years after he completed his Ph.D. studies; afterwards, he had worked at COREM as a senior researcher for more than 9 years.
Dr. Abdellatif El Bakkali is an experienced scientist graduated in Materials Chemistry and detaining a PhD in Materials Science and a Master in Physico-chimistry both from Université d’Orléans, France. Solid with over 15 years of diversified experience in the mining industry and process development of fertilisants, he was first acting Hydrometallurgist at Centre de Recherche REMINEX – Managem Group, Morocco. He was recently acting as R&D Manager at the Direction Recherche & Développement, Office Chérifien des Phosphates (OCP Group), Morocco . He also acted as teacher-researcher at Université Joseph Fourier – Grenoble, France and researcher at Laboratoire de Science et Ingénierie des Matériaux et des Procédés, CNRS – Université Joseph Fourier de Grenoble, France. Mr. El Bakkali is member of the Ordres des chimistes du Québec.
